Island Assault 1

INTRODUCTION:
A ficticious island assault. Attacker assaults from selected beaches on the West Island, Defender gets reinforcements from East Island beach. In short game, human opponent should play as attacker. Long game is more evenly balanced.

GAME LENGTH:
Standard Game 13 turns, Long Game 22 turns.

SPECIAL:
In addition to bridges, engineers can rebuild/destroy all roads as well as towns. Attacker can convert transport to gunboat by adding artillery piece on fore or aft deck.

PROHIBITED UNITS:
Neither side may use Heavy Artillery, Mobile Artillery, Medium or Heavy Tanks.

INITIAL STRENGTH:
Attacker get 46 points (52 long) and sets up on beaches in two seperate landings, with 0 victory point locations. Defender gets 33 points and controls the remainder of the map. They control 4 victory points locations.

REINFORCEMENTS:
Attacker gets 10 points on turns 5, 9, 12 from small western beaches (long=14 points on 5, 9 and 12, then 12 points on 15, 18 and 21), and additional 26 points on turns 4 and 7 from large western beaches (38 points for long game).

Defender gets 25 points on turns 4, 7, 10 and 12 at the eastern beach (for long, 24 points on 4, 7, 10, 12 and 15, 27 points on turns 18 and 21).

WEATHER:
From turn 3 though 7 and 15 through 18 chances of rain, storm, fog or mud each turn.
