Status Report in Limbo... I am waiting to clear up the RTS statement in the Signature Devices Press Release before I post a status report, so it could still be another couple of weeks (I have gotten several questions on this subject). The guys over there have been quite busy with the GDC conference and their first release of another game, Mazes of Fate...so I have not pushed for the response from the CEO, though I have talked with others in the company. Needless to say the word from those sources is the use of 'RTS' in this case was an error, but I have not received official confirmation as of yet. I will post about it when I get that. Signature Devices Announces Empire Deluxe Version Signature Devices has released a press release regarding my agreement with them for a new version of Empire Deluxe. EDEE Patch Day And The Word (sort of) The latest patch for Empire Deluxe Enhanced Edition is here. It fixes a problem that could be encountered with one of the right-click menus. You can get it on the patch page. I am also posting a status report which I think will be satisfying enough for those curious about the upcoming Empire Series announcement. There will be more info on this to come as it can be made available. World War II Mod is "Gold"! Breaker over at Salient Games has announced that the WW2 Weasel's WWII Mod for Empire Deluxe Enhanced Edition is now out and available. This is quite a mod, more than a year in the making, this mod is definitely worth checking out. Empire Deluxe Enhanced Edition can be modified in many different ways, be it the units, the terrain, the AI players, and the graphics. There are also many other modders that hang out over there, and so if WWII is not your bag, there is more to look at over at Salient Games. It gives some details on the next version of Galacticards, as well as talks about some ideas for Empire Deluxe Enhanced Edition work to come soon. September 10th, 2007 EDEE Patch! [mok]Yes! The next patch is out for Empire Deluxe Enhanced Edition . Please proceed in an orderly fashion to the patch page. This brings us to 4.009P. If anyone has trouble, send me a mail. The game will continue to be maintained and improved. Thanks to those that worked with an early version of this. It was mostly those that had sent me specific errors, of which I am grateful, as well as those guys hanging out over at Salient Games with their mods. Fun Gaming Spent the weekend playing board games with the San Jacinto College gaming group, and had a blast. I love computer games, but board gaming is also fun. If you enjoy such games, then I really recommend you check out Board Game Geek if you have not already, as well as Web Grognards. One thing that makes the games fun is the head to head aspects with live players. Empire Deluxe Enhanced Edition and The Perfect General Internet Edition are well suited for that as well. Going to have to Recalibrate Ok, here is the latest status report. Perhaps I should add +/- two weeks to my due date statement. I suspect Sarge would not let me do that. News From The Front
This is a sign that the new ladder at Salient Games is up and running. I believe it is considered in "open beta" at the moment, but it looks like people are starting to connect, and as you can see, conflict is beginning. Games are being posted. If you have not yet visited this fan site, it is time you went.. The screens of the WWII mod look great, and you can pick that up as well. And great news is the ladder supports all of the Killer Bee Software, as well as ED Classic (93).
